Center for Child Counseling - Partnerships & Mobile Unit
For many families in Palm Beach County, getting a child the mental health support they need is not a matter of willingness. It is a matter of logistics. A shared car. Conflicting work schedules. A school that is miles from the nearest office. A waitlist that stretches months.
Center for Child Counseling built an answer to that. Their mobile unit brings licensed therapists directly into the schools, community spaces, and neighborhoods where children and families already are. No referral maze. No long drive. No waiting until things get worse.
This story follows that model in practice, through the voices of the community partners who see its impact firsthand - including Pranoo from Rohis Readery and Ali from Opportunity - and the families whose children have gone from crisis to stability because care arrived before it was too late.
The result is a portrait of what prevention looks like when an organization is willing to go where the need is, rather than wait for the need to find them.
