Finding Jaime’s Voice - Connections Education Center

Patricia’s story begins with responsibility. Raising four grandchildren, including Jaime, a child on the autism spectrum who was once nonverbal, she faced the uncertainty and isolation that so many families experience when searching for support.

Through Connections Education Center, Jaime gained the ability to communicate, transforming not only his daily life, but his ability to connect with the people and world around him.

As storytelling became a central part of the organization’s fundraising strategy, Connections experienced a tenfold increase in fundraising over five years while building deeper donor affinity and preparing for future growth and expansion.

When Patricia and Jaime’s story was shared publicly during the organization’s annual gala, it became a powerful catalyst for connection. The film helped contribute to more than $500,000 raised in a single evening and inspired even first-time listeners, including a banquet server working the event, to take action and give.
